Saturday May 24th Update
It has been a wonderful past few days. I am getting a taste of what life will be like once I am done with chemo and I cannot wait. I have been seeing a lot of friends, going out to lunch and dinner and having a wonderful time. Last night some friends from (name of company deleted) and I went over to Busby's, a sports bar on Wilshire Blvd. to watch the Laker game. The place was packed and very loud and we had a lot of fun. The food, however, left much to be desired. I had perhaps the worst cheeseburger I've ever eaten. I couldn't even take three bites. I don't know what they did with it but it was horrid. Overall it was a lot of fun seeing friends and meeting new ones, and the Lakers blew the Spurs out, so that was great.

Hi Ben,
Glad to hear that you recovered so well from the difficult chemo experience. Somehow, my root canal/crown procedure during the past few weeks doen't seem so bad in comparison! Actually, I have a very good dentist, so it wasn't horrible at all, just time-consuming.
After many gray, cold "spring" days, we finally have a beautiful holiday weekend in NY. 70s and sunny. We had dinner with Lauren and Carlos last night at a great Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village. The atmosphere, service and food all were delightful. They send their love and good wishes. Today we were out enjoying the sun, along with huge multitudes of folks, as you can imagine. Ira bought two suits - he'll probably wear one to the wedding. And we had a chance to practice guitar. It's not always easy to find the time after work, but it's a lot of fun.
Our most recent Netflix film - "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead." Directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke and Marisa Tomei. Compelling performances.
We're so looking foward to seeing you and the family. We miss you and send our love.
Eileen & Ira
