Thursday PM Update - This &*%king Sucks!!!

I am sick. This is the worst reaction that I have had to chemo so far and I am NOT pleased, nor happy. The doctor plans to make additional adjustments so hopefully this does not occur again. There really isn't that much else to say at this point.

Hi Ben,
Hi Ben,

I hope your mom has (or will) forward the article I sent along to her about advances in cancer treatment. I'm sure you're not feeling very advanced right now. It's horrible that it takes poison (i.e., chemo) to fight the poison in your body, but keep bringing all your endurance and fierce resolve to this battle.

And, of course, keep in mind all of us who send our love, support and prayers. It was great to see you at the wedding. Changes bring joy, but there's sadness as well, as Gayle so aptly wrote, as we adjust to new people, places and perspectives.

On a little less weighty note: Ira and I, after an incredible few days in Napa, flew back to NY last Saturday. On the plane, we had DVD players and managed to watch "Shine a Light." It was such an opposite extreme from our intention to see it on an IMAX screen. It still was fun, and the sound was surprisingly good. So now we're learning "As Tears Go By" on the guitar. We also have the chords for "Wild Horses," but that's been more difficult.

Off to watch the DVD of "There Will be Blood." Followed by "Juno." We really confuse Netflix in our choice of movies!

We hope the sickness eases and the healing happens.

Love, Eileen & Ira

Hi Ben,

Since you have not blogged in a couple of days, I can only assume that you still are not feeling well.

Without ever being in your place, I am sure it truly Sucks! I am hoping to hear you are feeling better soon. We as always are thinking about you.

Love,

Gayle & Steve
