AT THE TIME THIS WAS WRITTEN, I THOUGHT I HAD CHORDOMA. I DO NOT HAVE CHORDOMA. PLEASE READ MY MOST RECENT ENTRIES FOR MORE INFO.
Apparently the type of tumor I have is called chordoma. Here is a link to an F.A.Q. about chordoma: http://www.chordomafoundation.org/chordoma/

Hi Ben,
I had a chordoma removed a few years ago. If you'd like to talk, drop me a line: bill 'dot' dorland 'at' gmail 'dot' com. One important piece of advice: get second and third opinions early. The first surgery is important for chordomas. Hang in there, --Bill
Ben,
Just to let you know that we are thinking about you. As you know with Sammys cancer all was well in the end and we can only hope and pray that it will be the same for you.
It breaks my heart to know that you are in pain and uncomfortable, and I only know from my experiences with Sam's cancer, that miracles can and do happen.
We love you.

Ben,
Thank you for sharing this information. As I have recently blogged my medical challenge, it's very hard to sit on this side, open the link and wait for the news. I have been thinking about you a lot and wanted you to know.

- It was very hard for me not to address this post to Benji.
